Helping Hands We believe that as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are called upon to help one another. Our Helping Hands ministry was designed to assist people in our church who are facing temporary difficulties or are otherwise experiencing temporary challenges in carrying out day-to-day responsibilities. These may include situations such as a death in the family, the birth of a child, or a short-term illness or injury that prohibits a parent from caring for the household responsibilities. If everyone in the church who is able volunteered for one position, most people would only be called once or twice a year to fill their commitment. The volunteer duties are not on-going. Usually people need help for less than three weeks. Therefore meals would be spaced out accordingly to help the family, and yard work or house cleaning might need to be done once during that time, if at all, likewise with errands. When we have a family in the church who is moving within the community or out of the community, it is a big help to hav a team of people show up to make the job easier and go more quickly. Volunteer Opportunities•Meal preparation for a family •Assisting with yard work •Assisting with cleaning •Running errands (going to the pharmacy, grocery, doctor's appointment, etc.) •Helping people move •Serving food at a funeral Contact If you are interested in serving in any of the areas above, please contact Candy Gamble at cgamble2@columbus.rr.com or call 740-363-5922.

Our Beliefs…believes Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. We believe that the virgin-born Son of God died for our sins, was buried, arose from the dead and is coming again. ...believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the written record of His supernatural revelation of Himself to man, absolute in authority....continues the ancient New Testament practice of believer's baptism by immersion and weekly observance of the Lord's Supper....invites into its fellowship all who commit themselves to Christ as the Savior and Lord of their lives, and who have expressed this decision by confessing their faith in Christ and being baptized by immersion in obedience to Him....cooperates with many Christian agencies but is regulated or dominated by none.
