Solitude and silence are an outward declaration of your inward hunger and desire to know God more fully and love him more deeply.

Solitude is being alone on purpose. Loneliness happens to you
Solitude is being alone for personal growth and accomplishment
Solitude is being alone for personal renewal and refreshment
Solitude is being alone in order to enhance our relationships

Our actions reflect our nature.  What we do tells the world who we are and how we live!

Say no to Revenge

It is forgiveness not revenge that will lead you to experience the grace of God in a powerful way!
 
1 Peter 2:13-25
 
1. Owe no one anything except love (1 Peter 2:13-18)
2. Refusing revenge is pleasing to God (1 Peter 2:19-22)
3. Instead of seeking revenge, show kindness (1 Peter 2:23)
4. Instead of seeking retaliation, forgive (1 Peter 2:24-25)


Fighting the Right Battle

If you want to act holy, you have to learn to think holy
 
1 Peter 1:13-2:12
 
What it means to be holy or how to be holy (1 Peter 1:13-25)
To be holy, you must prepare your mind for action (1 Peter 1:13)
To be holy, you must think differently. (1 Peter 1:14-16
To be holy, you must learn to concentrate on God rather than your own efforts. (1 Peter 1:17-21)

Christians don’t proclaim the resurrection because it’s popular. We proclaim it because it is truth.


Standing for the truth can and usually is costly

The belief of an action done based on false information and the unwillingness to stand for the truth killed Jesus.

Apology

Apologies open the doorway to forgiveness which brings renewed life to any relationship

There is power in properly admitting a mistake that you have done
Taking Responsibility and leave the BUT’s
Embracing your mistakes allows for learning and changes
How to effectively apologize
–  Name what you did wrong.  Don’t just say sorry.
–  Make it all about you
–  Inform the person that you hurt about the personal changes being made

Forgiveness is a matter of the heart and may be the costliest gift to give as well the most overwhelming to receive
